GJ: There's a story that's been going around for years that Eazy E gave the dudes from Bone Thugs n Harmony a FF tape (with the Mary Jane tune) and he instructed them to use it as a blueprint for their style, is there any truth to this?
M9: No, not that I know of. Unless I left some music in his car. R.I.P. He brought them to the good life with Tim (Uneek) and I played him our stuff at Earleās hotdog stand and in his SUV. We shared what we were working with on occasion. He was also into the ghost writing thing, like what I did on the very first NWA album! gentlejones.blogspot.com/2006/02/myka-nyne-citrus-sessions.html

Myka's funny in a way that he likes using different styles all the time, and he loves seeing the way styles he created or contributed to evolve as different artists start to pick it up. It's highly possible that Bone got a lot of "help" to develop their sound but if that's the case, Myka doesn't seem to mind. Some people make a big deal when their stuff is bitten but Myka seems to analyze the details in what they did and he gives props when they do a good job and probably laughs at it if it sucks. I think it helps him elevate his own stuff and develop new styles. I was talking to him about Jose James' cover of Park Bench People and he took it as a huge compliment and was honored by it. Like they say, "Imitation is the Highest Form of Flattery"
